The EP-1S thumb rest incorporates the well proven 22 degree beveled EP grip. This profile provides the most efficient shape to hold the camera more securely and more comfortably. The special EP profile substantially reduces grip pressure and therefore camera shake.

From 2012 onward, the Silicone Rubber insert now spans the entire width of the Thumbs Up. This serves to dampen vibration, provide a more stable contact with the camera body and better protect the camera body.
